Christ our Sacrifice and Example.
Design for Worship:
This week's Design for Worship begins the turn our attention from the fact of Christ's resurrection to the results. It is only as a result of the resurrection that Christ's sacrifice was proven effective. Because of this we are encouraged to follow Christ in example, not as an act of sacrifice, but as a response to God's love.
Epistle Lesson:

John 10: 11-16
Revised Collect:
Almighty God, You gave Your only Son to be for us a sacrifice for sin and an example of godly living; now give us grace to receive with deepest gratitude the immeasurable benefit of His sacrifice, striving daily to follow the blessed steps of His most holy life; through the same Jesus Christ our Lord.
Original Collect:
Almighty God, who hast given thine only Son to be unto us both a sacrifice for sin, and also an ensample of godly life; Give us grace that we may always most thankfully receive that His inestimable benefit, and also daily endeavor ourselves to follow the blessed steps of his most holy life; through the same Jesus Christ our Lord.
